Stream launches new site in Tunisia
2010-02-06 - BPO provider has announced the opening of its fourth service center in Tunis, Tunisia. Supporting the growing demand for Stream's global BPO services, the 550-seat facility located in the town of Le Kram will serve as an offshore solution center for Stream's expanding European and French-Canadian client roster.
According to Stream, the company selected Tunis for the country's diverse economy, highly developed education system and excellent quality of French language support. Stream opened its first service center in Tunisia in 2004 to provide offshore French support for one of its leading European clients. Following this most recent Le Kram opening, Stream's presence in Tunisia grows to four service centers, accommodating a combined total of more than 2,000 seats with the ongoing ability to expand capacity. Multilingual service professionals in Stream's Tunis centers support Arabic and French languages for a variety of companies, such as telecommunications service providers; hardware and software manufacturers; and consumer electronics companies.
With this expansion, Stream now operates 50 locations across 22 countries and supporting 34 languages. The newest Tunis service center will provide technical support and customer care solutions for new and existing clients.

» Call center offshoring to decline – satisfaction on the rise
Only 9 percent of US consumers reported that their most recent call center experience was handled by an offshore agent, down from 15 percent in 2008. According to the Call Center Satisfaction Index (CCSI) report, conducted by CFI Group, overall satisfaction with contact centers has continued to rise from 74 to 76 on a scale of 100.

» UK outsourcer to open contact center for Peugeot
UK outsourcer The Listening Company has joined forces with automotive manufacturer Peugeot to establish a customer contact center at its site in Tonbridge, south of London. The center is supposed to act as the first point of contact for existing and prospective Peugeot customers and manages a range of services including customer relations, recalls and brochure fulfilment.
